Schnittpunkt has been Bavaria’s specialist in laser cutting technology for over 25 years. Founded in 2000 by Olaf Rautner and Erwin Stuiber, Schnittpunkt GmbH Laserschneidtechnik has developed into one of Bavaria’s fastest-growing companies in just a few years.

In May 2025, the new location in Mainburg was officially opened. As part of this, five laser cutting systems were connected to a Grundner storage system and are now automatically supplied with material. Today, almost 140 employees work in three shifts on over 7600 square meters, 7000 square meters of which is production space, using eight laser cutting systems, two thermal cutting systems, and ten press brakes to manufacture precision sheet metal parts.

The two manipulators store the sheets and independently and redundantly load the laser cutting systems. The tableau conveyor takes the sheet from the manipulator and places it on the laser table with a positioning accuracy of +/- 5 mm for further processing.

The vacuum gripper is suitable for materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and a wide range of dimensions and material thicknesses. An advantage for the metal industry: separate storage areas for black and white sheet metal guarantee the highest quality standards. A specially developed automatic separation paper removal system enables the storage of sheets with separation paper between the sheet layers without requiring manual intervention.
