The intelligent storage system automatically stores the sheet metal from the two input bays. The laser cutting machine always receives the right sheet metal at the right time, which increases productivity and reduces costly waiting times to a minimum.

After loading the laser cutting system, the manipulator switches from the vacuum gripper to the rake gripper in less than 30 seconds. This specially developed gripper removes the finished parts from the processing table and places them on the conveyor belt, after which they are transported from the storage system for further processing.

After switching to the vacuum gripper, the next sheet is delivered to the laser cutting system or, in the case of longer jobs, storage is continued.

The two manipulators store the sheets and independently and redundantly load the laser cutting machines. The shuttle conveyor takes the sheet from the manipulator and places it on the laser table with a positioning accuracy of +/- 5 mm for further processing.

The vacuum gripper is suitable for materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and a wide range of dimensions and material thicknesses. An advantage for the metal industry: separate storage areas for black and white sheet metal guarantee the highest quality standards. A specially developed automatic protection layer remover enables the storage of sheets with protection layers between the sheets without requiring manual intervention.
